Why are Obama supporters so caught up in defending him with every step he takes? Because of the polarized two party system; everything is so Black-and-White, pun not intended, that people feel as if they criticize their own candidate they are endorsing the other and that’s a dangerous game to play? There is no need to bring up Romney in criticisms of Obama. We know he’s worse for racialized communities but that doesn’t mean we allow the current head of state to continue stripping Americans and non Americans of their civil rights, freedom and right to live in sovereignty.

Obama did NOT have to sign the NDAA which is more invasive and unjust than the Patriot Act implemented by Bush. Obama did not have to brutally deport hard working families because they were undocumented, especially when you consider the fact that most of these people come from central America and Mexico, where the war on drugs has wreaked havoc on their native societies, (which Obama wholeheartedly endorses). Obama did not have to allow predator drones to spy on Americans living in America (You and I). Obama did NOT close down Guantanamo bay, a prison where most of the inmates are being tortured, are innocent and have not had trial, as he’d originally promised to do. Obama did NOT have to illegally invade Libya, choosing a side during a civil dispute and dropping +40,000 bombs, killing many innocent men, women and children. Obama did NOT have to send predator drones to bomb people in Yemen. Obama did NOT have to send predator drones to bomb people in Somalia. Obama did NOT have to send predator drones to bomb people in Egypt. Obama did NOT have to send predator drones to bomb people in Pakistan (where over 97% of the victims are innocent civilians).

All of these heinous decisions were pressured onto Obama from the Military industrial complex and Big-Time corporate America, which Obama is married at the hip to since he accepted their campaign money.

I’ve named many horrible acts that Obama has signed off too (most of them are ongoing). You can’t tell me Obama’s hands are completely tied, he did this and he also has to power to make more positive change in this world and America.

Don’t let this Two Party system get you stuck thinking one candidates right and the other is wrong, two people can be right simultaneously just like they can also be wrong. Romney being worse doesn’t make Obama’s shortcomings anymore acceptable.
