you're right but I'm not talking about establishing the correct form of government in the country invaded or doing what we think is best for them. I'm talking about facilitating peace and stopping individuals from being stripped of their humanity. Best example is French aid during US revolution.

American revolution? White people helping white people. And that help in particular seriously messed things up for Native Americans. So the US got its freedom, and then proceeded to deny that of everyone else.

And it’s really annoying when people forget things like how the French held a grudge against the British and wanted to get back at them. Simplest way was to help one of the colonies of the British to be free so Britain could lose some of its power and then the French would have allies and people who kinda owed them their freedom forever and always. It’s never been about “about facilitating peace and stopping individuals from being stripped of their humanity”. There’s people who help others out of the kindness of their hearts and I’m sure there may have been some people in the American Revolution that helped Americans because of that- probably because the French recognized the common struggle they themselves had been through- but that’s the average people. Government, people in power, have never helped anyone for the sake of “establishing peace” and other awesome stuff. It’s always been for some other motive. And yes, I’m tired of those people being hailed angelic heroes to the rescue, because they’re not. Doing a good deed but having bad intentions is still a bad deed.

(For people who’re confused, this is what happened)
